This Stroud-based choir, directed by Philip Colls, was founded in 1960 by the late Mark Foster. One of Gloucestershire’s premier chamber choirs, they sing music from many different periods and in diverse styles, usually unaccompanied but occasionally with instrumental or orchestral accompaniment, including performances of Purcell, Handel and Bach with period instruments and specialist soloists. They have given concerts near Barcelona and in south-western France, in Crete, in the abbey on Iona, in North Germany and at the Gloucester Three Choirs Festival.
